Synergy of human and computer intelligence for the design and development of engineering systems in a context of encompassing data networks determines today’s agenda for educational institutions around the globe set to prepare professional engineers. Aimed to fulfill these needs, the Innovations in Information and Communication Science and Technology (IICST) conference is a regular event run by partner universities, promoting research collaboration among young researchers by giving them an opportunity to expose their studies to their international peers and also to prominent scholars and engineers.

The first three IICST events were held at Tomsk, Russia, in 2011, 2012, and 2013, and the fourth took place in Warsaw, Poland in 2014, while the fifth event, IICST2020 planned to be held at Brawijaya University in Malang, Indonesia, was abruptly canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the years, the number of IICST registered participants exceeded 350, and over 150 papers accepted for presentation at the conferences were published in five volumes (including the 2020 volume) of edited IICST proceedings. Celebrating the 10 years of collaboration, the 6th edition of IICST comes back to TUSUR University, Tomsk, Russia, and will be held on November 1-2, 2021.

Structurally, IICST 2021 is planned to include, but not be limited to, presentations assigned to the following four tracks:
